WHY PRE-BOOK? It is advisable to pre-book your Gatwick parking for several reasons. Firstly you will save money! Not a very good start to a holiday! Short term parking is usually not a problem. GATWICK INFORMATION Gatwick airport has two terminals. The original South terminal and the newer North terminal. Gatwick South terminal is mainly geared to the leisure traveller and handles the majority of charter flights. There are extensive shopping and catering facilities on the upper mezzanine floor serving both the Arrival and Departure areas. There is a Fast Track system through security to passport control for business travellers. The newer North terminal built to take increased traffic at Gatwick handles British Airways flights and their partner airlines. The Departure and Arrival floors are separated by a mid level containing the shopping and catering facilities. The North terminal processes fewer passengers than the South and as a result often feels more relaxed. As at the South there is also a Business Class Fast Track system. Both terminals are linked by a monorail and consequently all passengers parking at gatwick can access either terminal. Gatwick airport handles over 31 million passengers a year travelling on 70 airlines. It is the busiest single runway airport in the world. The second largest airport (after Heathrow) in the UK and the sixth busiest international airport worldwide. DIRECTIONS Gatwick airport is linked to the M23 motorway at junction 9, just 28 miles south of London, it is also adjacent to the A23 London-Brighton road.
